TracKey is here! Those that are installing - please post!
What about launch control, ABS parameters, stability control calibration, throttle response, low end torque enhancement, rev limiter changes, etc. You know stuff that really does help on track. I would really like to read about a side by side camparo on track with and without trackey. I know its early but sheesh enough about the idle already.
This is great, good info on the installation patch and coaching your dealers on the install and obtaining the tune in the first place. But the most entertaining thing to me is that the majority of the posts about trackey a race tune made for track enhancements are talking about the lopey idle! How does that help on the track? Hilarious.

I am still weighing the options, aftermarket parts and tune vs stock with trackey. I know an aftermarket tune could never touch a lot of what trackey does, but again on an autocross course which is more beneficial? throttle mapping, elimination of torque limiting, etc or the aftermarket stuff? Tough to do a side by side when long tubes take 6-8 hours to install. Hope the car mags can deliver on this.

This is the info that I would expect to be provided by Ford. Surely they know exactly what is affected and how the car performs with and without TK. They should be posting up this info. This is just another oversight by Ford in the whole TK saga.
I am going to try to call the FRPP customer service line tomorrow to see what they can tell me.
This is a cool statement but does not give much detail;
Anything that could possibly affect all-out performance is deleted from the TracKey calibration,” said Dave Pericak, Mustang chief engineer. “Throttle limiting and torque management – any daily drivability enhancements are removed and replaced with a pure Ford Racing competition calibration.”

Found a video on YouTube explaining how to use the Trackey, and shows what you need to do to set the lopey Idle.

Just goes to show how many bought the car for the exclusivity and coolness versus actually taking it road-course racing. Before my Boss order was messed up and I ended up with a 500, I was planning on learning as it sounds like a real blast!
Take your GT500 to the track, it will be just as much fun as a Boss. There was a guy with a GT500 putting down 700rwhp last weekend where I went . He only went off the track once.
IMO - The lopey idle is the first thing one will ever notice after the install. First impressions of something new is extremely important. If one didn't hear a performance sound change, psychologically they might feel the rest of the changes aren't going to be enough of a performance increase. However, if the first thing one senses after installing a permormance mod is a lopey idle, it will enhance the rest of the experience. This also applies to the throttle response and engine braking, which might be the very next things the customer will experience. When any performance mod is added (cam, exhaust, etc) I have to believe when the engine is first started after the install, every customer hopes to "hear" some kind of difference. If there is no difference, there will be a feeling of disappointment or uncertainty until the car is put on a dyno or track, where the real world effects of the mod are really learned. Perception is very important.
Well I went off the track twice, with an instructor in the car so I couldn't laugh at the guy in the GT500. Although, the same instructor drove the GT500 first with the owner riding along. Afterward the instructor said, "that guy is going to have a hard time staying on the track with that much power".
Install commencing 3pm today.
Impressions?
I'm scheduled for an install on Monday or Tuesday of next week. Most folks seem to agree that there is a noticeable change in engine braking, throttle response and exhaust sound. Is drivability improved? How about the dreaded 1 - 4 skip shift feature that is disabled, does it make for smoother shifting all the time?

I never hit the skip shift beforehand, so I can't answer to that.

Once is all it takes (in some cases).
