I was a dealship tech for 26 years, they plug the online computor to your OBD port and download the program from over the internet, so the computor has the path, already in it but not the software, but I hope it's it true that it is avalable

Talked to a guy who had just picked up his Boss. He said our local dealership had the activation software, which was installed for him in about an hour. We were at a car show and I didn't feel comfortable asking him to start it, but he insists the key's activiated. He's big in the Mustang community in my area and there's a 100% chance I will see him again, so it would have been stupid to lie to me. Can't wait to hear what happens.

We were at a car show and I didn't feel comfortable asking him to start it, but he insists the key's activiated. He's big in the Mustang community in my area and there's a 100% chance I will see him again, so it would have been stupid to lie to me. Can't wait to hear what happens.

I don't think my dealer is a Ford Racing dealer though. I sure hope you don't have to travel to one to get it flashed. I've bought several FRPP parts from them so what makes a dealer a Ford Racing dealer?

Just returned from the Dealer (Lincoln Ne.) too busy today, so, I have a Tuesday appointment, he told me that they have another scheduled for Track Key Flash on Tuesday as well,,,,,
Somebody else has a 'BOSS' in Lincoln???,, Who are you??-->lets talk, Only one Ford Dealership in Lincoln and they received one BOSS allotment...??

No go guys. I swung by the dealership and grabbed my tech who hooked up his laptop. We searched for latest updates over the internet and there weren't any available for my car. (We just updated it last week). Anyway we did find the menu option for TracKey. It gave you the option to ENABLE and DISABLE. The current status was DISABLED and clicking enable didn't do anything. Unfortunately it looks like we're still waiting

Eh, it does, but I think we've been prepped for a while now that it would be late summer and Rick and others have been telling us September (optimistically August) for a while now so I wasn't really expecting it. Oh well I had an excuse to go drive the Boss which is never a bad experience
