the red key comes with the car. the $302 is for the license for the software. you can use the red key all you want when you buy the car it just won't do anything until they install the software.

My dealer threw in the license or voucher and was going to do the install for free but really didn't have a clue. I paid another dealer $90 for install.

Thanks JeffL. That explains it at lot better.
So basically you dont have the license/software unless you pay the $302..makes sense.. THEN labor on top of that..
ill ping my sales rep.

ok... called salesman....I agreed to pay the $302 plus 1 (ONE) hour of shop labor whatever that one hour ends up being.

Now to secure the car.... I should know by late this evening or by sometime tomorrow....
BTW, they DO have to track down a GHIG once I secure financing/sign....
I DON't want to sign BEFORE i see the vehicle in person.. how does that work?
Wish me luck.. I hope my next post/thread is pics of my car and not issues....

You are not paying for the key, you are paying to activate the tune.
