Track Key Flash Installed

Holy Crap, what a difference. Why would any one use the "street" key after having Track key installed. The car woke up. I think this just about be the coolest car I have ever owned. It's got a soul.

I ordered my key and should get it installed sometime next week. Some Boss owners comments didn't notice much of a change though? I hope I do!

I don't know about others but I noticed it right away. It seems to sound better too but that may be just me as I love it. Dealer charged me $99 for install which wasn't too bad. I didn't notice too much of a difference on the idle though, just a little.

See the thread 2012 Boss rear axle/brake noise for the answer to that question.

Just got mine flashed today. I like it more than I thought I might. Obviously, the idle isn't exactly as aggressive as advertised, but it does sound much better than the regular key. I do think it's a annoying that you need to wait over two minutes each time you start the car. Love the feel of the throttle.

I did have an uneasy moment at the dealer though. After the tech had the car about 15 minutes or so, he came out to get me and told me that the code on my voucher had already been used. My heart sank as I thought I somehow got scammed. Now, I did buy it from Tousley, a legit dealer, so I felt a little better, but I was still afraid I'd be forced to get a another voucher, make another appointment, etc..

The tech called ford racing and apparently they had a bunch of duplicate vouchers get out in circulation somehow. Fortunately, they just gave him a new code on the phone and we rocked on.
