Well it did start life as a GT. I would probably just remove the hood decal since accent roofs are in.

The accent roof is the BOSS"s trademark of mustangs. Otherwise it does look like a GT. But to each it's own. I love my YB and Black roof with all the black trim. I also think the Black flows very well with RR / PW / CO. I would of liked to see Kona offered with black. My decision at time of purchase would of been 10x harder in color choice.

 

Me three, I would not remove the hood stripe. Your car is well setup with the spoiler and wheels. While I love the look of my YB with the roof yellow your car is looking great as is.

 

Thanks. My favorite Boss color combo is the Black and Red LS and it doesn't have a hood decal. So if it's good for the LS it might be good for my car plus the hood decal can be replaced. TBD sometime next year.

Servitium, did you get your Boss and if so did you remove the hood decal?

 

I'm back stateside on Friday, so I'll try to get the BOSS from the dealer on Saturday - jet lag and schedules permitting. If not Saturday then Monday.

I'll probably wait until after the holidays to make a decision on the hood when I decide which mods I'm going to finance. If I decide to splurge and go with the Tiger hood, I'll leave the current hood as-is to be able to reload the "stock" option.

If I don't go with the Tiger hood, I'm very likely to do the decal delete. Perhaps I'll like it better in person, but as it stands now, that big, blank white field just doesn't sit well with me.

I'm also thinking that some company (American Muscle?) is bound to come along with the 2013 BOSS stripe in white.

 

Promotorstripe will make you anything you need Boss related. They are a blessing to work with and at the right price. They did my hood decal.

I took off the hood and side decals. They came off easily with a hair dryer. The hood decal was a slower process. The side stripes are pretty flimsy, and take about 5 minutes for both sides.

They are easily replaceable if I decide to sell the car. I prefer to attract less attention from street racers and the FHP. The car looks cleaner. Anyone who knows Mustangs can see it's a Boss - black roof, and Boss 302 embroidered on the Recaro's. Besides the looks, it sounds like a Boss.

By the way, except for the occasional 1-2 gear crunch, what a great car. Very entertaining, and I'm probably driving at 50% of what the car is capable of. Congratulations to Ford for pulling this off.

 

Absolutely, did you find them from posts here or off ebay? They have made all my matte stripes and the helmet decals a few of us have.

 

I love that Yellow Blaze! That is the only yellow I have ever seen that I like!

I like the black roof on some Mustangs only because it looks like the glass roof.. A black roof was never a trademark of classic regular production Boss Mustangs. I can see why many people would not want the roof painted and that looks like it has been addressed for 2013.

 

Yes, I found them from your posts when you started doing your hood. I cant say enough GOOD things about them. No issuies, no problems, First Class to work with.

 

Change your stripes again to reflective... But please don't leave that YB naked! Iike the stripes better

 

I agree, I doubt I will change them again. The matte black looks nice as it is and I love the look out over the hood from the inside.
