Wait till you see how long these hand offs take! Your car will see the local sights for about 3-5 days before it gets hooked up to a "real" train. Then it's off to California, which takes less than a week. Then it sits in Benicia for 3-4 days waiting for ride to MH. Incidentally, your dealer can request a priority pick up at the yard in Benicia.

My car took about a week to arrive in Benicia once it left Flatrock.

Wow someone older than me. I remember gas being 35 cents a gallon.

 

You mean they're closed in now? Well that's pretty good then. I thought these cars were getting all weathered on.

 

Yah, 25 cents a gallon... I remember filling the car, buying smokes and beer and going to the drive-in for $5 total.

 

Dave, you weren't kidding. The IHB RR has the car in Calumet City, IL just 400 miles from Flat Rock after 2 days. Waiting for the UP RR to get it and then come west.
