Sonic blue was pretty common in 03-04 iirc. Lots of termis in that color. It's simar to kona without the color change iirc. I'm betting kona rolls on for a while but that looks so close to tuxedo black with a blue base I'm surprised kona continues.
I'm thinking with them being similar sonic may be there for when they run out of kb. Just a guess though and I'm betting it's only white. Ford usually pairs blues with white just look at the grabber blue gt500.

I don't think it's a case of people not wanting YB. Many have expressed interest in the color. I just think many people are uncertain of the color. It's doesn't photograph well so people aren't really sure of what to expect. And with so few YB cars on dealer lots they can't get an up close look at it, so they opt for safer colors.
YB also doesn't look very good in dull, cloudy weather. It takes a nice sunny day to bring out the color.

It is more of a case of limited choice.
Having two colors rather than three makes it more appealing than the other Boss colors. Ford emphasis on choosing the two tone combo was based on those of its track heritage as opposed to the actual one color production with black accents.
Ford missed the boat in choosing to have the roofs painted a different color. That should have been limited to the LS.
