Maybe a little over-the-top, so I'll take a stab. It comes down to the incorrect notion that the car is "purpose built." Purpose built for whom? Not for me. Ford didn't ask for my design input, yet I'm the guy who bought their car. I will say they got close, but I will have to modify the Boss to get it to my spec. Others will have to do the same.

Ford agrees. They delivered this "purpose built" track car with an instruction manual that explains how one should modify the car, if they actually want to take it on the track.

Back on topic, I really appreciate that Steeda will be producing a Boss-specific CAI, when that market will be so small. Count me as an interested party, especially if there is a CF option. I do have a question about the competing tunes - in the future, will Steeda publish dyno results for both their tune AND the TracKey tune? Will there be testing to make sure that the TracKey tune doesn't assplode something?

Valid question. It may defeat the purpose for you, and for some others as well, but there will also be other people who already have or will modify their Boss Mustangs. This will satisfy their needs.

Not at this time. This will likely be the only version.

Same way its better on the GT. I've posted tons of data on this already in the past. Do a search if you are interested and you will find it.

On your dyno question, yes we do plan on publishing numbers. I've already got numbers I've published for a Boss with our GT cold air. This will be a larger unit so we expect slightly better numbers. Testing is still ongoing, infact, we have a LS on the dyno right now being worked on with one of the prototypes.

Don't expect those numbers today though

Do you have to include the useless sound tube in your design? Yes, I know, just plug it.

Almost any time someone wants to change something about the Boss you make a comment. If someone doesn't agree with you on the car as far as how it compares to say.... a GT500 you make a comment.

If a company comes out with a new Boss product, people ask for tech specs. If a person mods their Boss... others ask how do you like what it did for the car. You ask... Why would you mod a Boss 302...... answer: Because they can.

Yeah, we are all about trying to improve a product to make it better. otherwise we would still be driving the original '69 - '70 boss 302 today....with no improvements

WOHA!!!! the sand box is big enough for us all to play. I think a time out is in order. I was given one by a TMS monitor and I feel so much better>>>>LOL
Bottom line is: you are free to do what you want to your Boss. If you dont agree with what someone did, it's not fair to slam the person. Just go and kick there sand castle down.
On another note, I thinks its great to hear what people have done to there Boss and what kind of results they gained. This way you get the information on what was done and didnt cost you a penny. I have seen so many body mods on the boss and dont like alot of them. I now know what I want to spend my money on. I look at it like window shoping from home!!
Job well done Steeda....keep feeding us all new infomation on all your products.

Smile

That is one slick looking CAI. If I had a Boss 302, I would install one just to enhance the look of the engine compartment. Keep those new products coming.
