THE RED KEY!!!!
Neat idea. Must have been inspired by Bugatti's "top speed key" on the Veyron. And unlike a certain manufacturer touting a track-capable car
(Niss-ah-choo! ahem) , using this performance feature won't void your warranty.

Hey, just thought I'd point out to ya STIguy, that I think you are ordering a 2012 Boss, not a 2010. Might want to change that. Just a suggestion.
No problem, my friend. BTW, welcome.
I am very surprised Ford doesn't have the tune making more power. I wonder how long it will be before the tuners are modifying the red key tune? Have all of the aggressive parameters along with max HP.
We know that an aggressive tune on a GT will make ~400rwhp which equates to 440-450HP. The Boss has fully ported heads, an intake to make power up top and more aggressive cams.
Livernois is claiming about 40 additional HP (IIRC) with the intake and stage1 heads and says the car really needs more aggressive cams.
The Boss HP is either VERY underrated or an aftermarket tune will result in a big HP gain. The thing should make a minimum of 25 rwhp over a GT with a proper tune and likely more due to higher rpm capability given the stronger rotating assembly and the intake/cams. A Boss should make WAY more power than a GT at 7500+ rpm. Anyone else see all this as strange?
One thing I am fairly certain about is the tune making for a very different driving experience. I have been playing with mustangs long enough to remember when ford started playing with torque management and how "soft" it made the SN95s feel compared to the foxbodies. The trackey should make the car feel mean as hell.

'You take the black key and the story ends. You wake in your bed and you believe whatever you want to believe.'
'You take the red key and you stay in Wonderland and I show you how fast this thing goes.'
This latest news just cements how unique the Boss will be and makes me want one even more!!
I think it was motortrend. It said it makes 10 ft/lbs more at low rpm but peak HP is the same.
