Rear end seepage at high speeds

So this was my third track outing and this one was at Texas World Speedway. Top speed coming off the straightaway is close to 140mph.
I had changed my differential oil after my first track event at Harris Hill in San Marcos, then ran it in a Track attack event at Driveway Austin and it had no issues.
After my afternoon session someone pointed out to me that I had differential oil all over the rear bumper up to the spoiler. Another person had said it was a common problem for GT500's with oil misting out the breather as well and thought there was a TSP to correct the issue. cleaned it, ran again though it was not as bad this time.
Being the last run for the day, drove it home with no further issues.
Ford dealer said no TSP as of yet, anyone have any simular problems

Yes, some people are using the turkey baster. It sits on top of the dif. I'm sure someone else will chime in or you can google it. And there's this one:

Here is the part number for the baster... AR3Z-4A058-B. Can be puchased at any Ford dealer. Take the factory breather out of top of cover and install the baster in that location. Also, I re-used the original metal breather in place of the plastic one supplied in the kit and also used small hose clamps to hold everything in place. Also, do not over fill the axle. Level should be about 1/2" below check plug. I show you a pic, but for some reason can't find it.

lol, the title of this thread made me wonder.... I've been pretty close to rear end seepage at high speeds when I spun my car going into turn 17 at Sebring at 130!

My thought exactly. I was expecting a thread in which the driver had the Boss bite hard and then needed to head home for a change of underwear.

Hi Chris,

We talked some Sat morning at TWS. Your car was parked outside the garage where I was parked.

There are a couple of TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) for rear axle oil venting. They are TSB 10-3-7 and TSB 12-2-1. The later was issued on Feb 3, 2012 and superseded the earlier one. The TSB is for Mustangs build on or before 1/23/2012 that exhibit a heavy fluid leak from the rear axle vent after hard acceleration. The TSB calls for the installation of part AR3Z-4A058-B, a.k.a "turkey baster bulb".

Based on the amount your car was venting I don't think the turkey baster will solve your problem. I had a turkey baster on my car for a while and it did little to slow down the puking of diff fluild. A better place to spend you mod money would be on either a vent hose w/catch can or a GT500KR style expansion tank.

The expansion tank referenced by Jza1736 is a quality unit that works. I installed one on my car and it solved the problem.
