Opinion on tires

I'm getting close to pulling the trigger on a new set of tires for the Boss. I'm trying to decide between the Bridgestone Potenza S-04's and the Sport Comp 2's. I might do a track weekend on them once or twice but they will primarily be used in spirited driving on my local roads. Any opinions to help me make my decision?

Thanks in advance

I can speak highly of the S04s. I use them for track duty 4x a year. They do very well in street driving too, and they are phenomenal in the rain. I posted a full review last summer:

I chose these because they were rated right behind Pilot SS, for substantially less $$.

I had the G Force Sport Comp 2's on my Focus. Loved them. Excellent wet and dry grip. Considering them for my Mustang as well when I get new tires later this spring.

I use Sport Comp-2's on my Boss, great on and off track performance so far...but have not used them a lot to be honest. But I have muscle car friends who have and love them. Good price too.

Love my Sport Comp-2s... I've NEVER used them on the track though. The one drawback... nothing wider than a 285 for the rear...

Awesome in the rain and superb on dry.

The one's I had on my Focus were about on par with most other summer only tires. A bit louder then most good all seasons, but not bad.

I don't even notice them. Compared to Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports... no difference that I can tell.

They're a good inexpensive tire that performs very well.

Ok I've narrowed down my tire choices which one will provide the best grip but also be a quiet tire?
Michelin Pilot Super Sports
BFG G-Force Sport Comp 2's
Hankook Ventis V12 Evos2

Another vote for the Bridgestone S04's. I have been running them for about a year now with good luck both on the track and the street. Good grip wet or dry and quiet. All the reviews I have seen have them a close second to the Michelins PSS, but quite a bit less $.

Michelin Pilot SS have been replaced by PS4's.
Have PSS on my 15 Corvette which I track.
Have a 300 wear rating. They are OK , but, want better traction.
Will replace with Goodyear Eagle F1's when PSS wear out.
My Boss with original Pirelli's also not that great and looking for something better.

I'm looking for the best tires for the best price on my 2015 Mustang GT. We bought it with Pirelli Zeros and we'd like to get tires that last longer but are still high performance. And we live in NV so it's normally hot.

I got the Michelin Pilot Super Sports....old ones on the front, new PS4's on the back. I like them a lot so far.

I decided on the Michelins and I'm getting them installed tomorrow.
