As I said earlier it depends what the secondary status. Just because it says "In Transit" it doesn't mean it's physically moving. If you look at the secondary status it says Rail Vehicle Warehousing Ramp 51 Flat Rock.

Fiscal/Calander year. Mustang sales are a very small part of Ford's overall sales and scheduling. They don't have "schedule speak" for each model. Since they haven't announced (yet) what the final order date is for the '12 model year conceivably there could be 2 1Q builds.

Call up Charmin and ask them to make you a pallet of hot pink toilet paper with your photo printed on it and see how you make out. There's a huge difference. A toilet paper manufacturer has to deal with a few commodities -- paper, water, bleach, dye, softener, etc. A car has thousands of parts that are ordered and coordinated and not every car is the same. If a car manufacturer doesn't get it right, people can end up dead. If a toilet paper maker screws up you get a smelly finger. Huge difference.

While I agree that in some ways communication could be better, but really, what do you want? An hourly email to tell you that your car is still sitting at the plant? Look, Ford doesn't earn a penny until you get your car. They WANT you to have your car so they can get paid.

So does: Awaiting Shipment Origin Received - Fct (Autoport Limited ) Ramp 5P, Flat Rock, MI ETA Mar-19-2011
mean that mine is in line to be loaded? It was previously at the mysterious Ramp 51.

I would think at this point any movement is good movement, no?

Bossinator and Others

I also just spoke with my local Ford dealer manager / Car Club Freind and he was told by Ford Rep today a March delivery on a Dec 12 2010 order for CO Boss. He said swing By Tomm and will try to find more info, as there has been parts holds & delays.

So my ex girlfriend is dating this guy whose cousin knows someone who works for a guy who buys gas near the plant when he stays at the Holiday Inn Express nearby. The guy who works for the other guy says the Boss' have been leaving the plant for a couple of weeks now....

Working for the company that makes Charmin, I can tell you that we do care if you don't "enjoy the go" :-)

By the way, there is a lot of testing done on "flushability" to ensure that clogging is not a problem. You would get more than a smelly finger in that case.

Go here for answers to your most common Charmin questions.

Lastly, if WalMart wanted hot pink TP, we probably would make it, as they retail a lot of it!

Tony

You could make it into all different colors some of our more members are really into their color choice (sorry did not mean to mention 5 DOT 0 by name)

Put me down for some yellow with black stripes, got to color coordinate the house since any year now I will have the Boss

BTW mark the date we officially all lost it here, this must be the only Mustang (or car forum) in the world that has a thread on toilet paper

BTWW I think theres gonna be some paint swapping in Utah

oh, and Mark should be banned from this site for even starting this thread

2012 Yellow Boss: In retrospect, I should be banned for starting this thread. It's bringing me down.
Big Vito makes fun of me.
You try and get me banned.
FastFred simply pours on the misery.
cloud9 makes me even more impatient to put the Boss on the track.
We find out that even 9 years ago you could track a Mini Cooper moving through the Panama Canal to your home, but Ford can't update the VVS more than once in 10 days.
And OAC Sparky shoots holes in all of our theories as to why the cars are still in some mythical place called "Ramp 51", when we know that secretly the first two weeks of Boss builds are being test driven by clueless magazine types. Then they'll ship them to us with candy bar wrappers under the seats.

You guys are great. I love it here.
Now, where the H@** is my Boss that's supposed to be delivered this Saturday?
