Just to confuse things further here is some things I have run across.

I called the FCS today and asked for an update. They told me that the car is currently under production. I asked about the date on the sticker that says the 15th as a production date, he was unsure about the exact meaning but reiterated that the car shows in production. The car is not made in just one day so maybe the day refers to the completion date.

The original word was that production of 12's was suppose to start last week and sticker for other Mustangs were coming online two weeks ago.

Now I do not know how this guy got his info but he put it in his sig at AFM. This stuff gets confusing but I am starting to think that the car was started last week in the line and will be finished tomorrow. Again I don't know if his info is correct but putting all the pieces together it makes sense.

My window sticker has 2/14 for a date and my dealer stated that my car was being built on the 2/14. Not sure how long it takes to build one, but I bet to assemble it on the line takes only a day or less. Now I would think the car is all ready painted before the assembly starts.

 

LOL, yea you could just take a cab and pick it up!

 

My dealer just emailed that my Boss will be built 2/28 and the ETA is 3/14!

 

Way to go 4pipes! I've got a white one coming the week before here in Houston.

 

Just beware that there will still likely be "OK to Buy" holds on the Bosses as well -- always take Vehicle Visibility ETAs with a grain of salt -- the times are calculated based on historical ETAs when the plant is running and releasing cars in a normal production fashion.

So until you actually get a "shipped" status don't ditch your existing ride.

I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade just trying to interject some reality. Ask people that bought last year about Ramp 50.

 

Did any cross the finish line today?

 

It will be hard to tell. The dealers VVS probably won't update until Friday to see if they are built yet. It would show a status change.

 

VV updates daily.

Cars produced today will show up after midnight in Vehicle Visibility.

LOL, almost 8,000 posts on this site alone for a car none of has even driven. In a couple of weeks we can look back and laugh at ourselves, was I really that inpatient

I purchased blackout lenses for my rear sides today so the black C stripe won't look so corny.

 

Yea, kind of crazy, but if you didn't you would run the risk of not getting one.

This purchase is way down the stupid scale from other cars I've bought.

 

Although I would have ordered one sight unseen I saw one on Nov. 12th and placed my order one week later.
