In the garage looking at the Boss with my wife and she asked me what are you getting your girlfriend for christmas. I told her that i'm not sure but she is easy to please. My wife then punched me in the shoulder and we both laughed.
My wife and I decided to drive to Nashville this past Goodguys Nationals. We drove the LS and found a parking spot where I didn't have to worry about someone dinging the doors. Unfortunately it was near the entrance to the parking lot. We were gone for about 4 hours and decided we had seen everything and it was time to drive back to Chattanooga. As walk up to our car, there are several people standing by it, taking pictures and asking questions. The parking lot attendant came over to us and said "We almost paged you, because everyone was stopping to see your car and they were causing a traffic jam". "We had to come over and direct them away from your car so we could get all of the cars in off the interstate". Needless to say as we were leaving, we had many thumbs up, yells of "turn them over", and "that Stang is mean man". Definately one of those times when it was cool to be old (I am 62) and still in love with Mustangs.
This comment goes out to all of us Boss owners. During the Barrett Jackson auction on Thursday one of the questions presented to Mike Joy was 'which current 2013 car is most collectible'? The first words out of his mouth were 'Well obviously the Boss 302...' that made me smile as I Iooked out at my garage! LOL
You get so many reactions driving a Boss, you end up categorizing them. So far my favorites are thumbs up from old timers who appreciate modern muscle cars and little kids in cars. Their eyes bug out, jaw drops, nose pressed up against the glass followed by the shouts of Look! Look!
Makes me smile every time.

I was getting ice cream one day and was sitting down to enjoy it and some little girl pointed and yelled "Daddy, look a race car!". I am my wifes 9 year old cousins favorite family member now
, but he loved my GT, also.
Most of the time people stare. BMW drivers tend to get pissed. The ones that are uselessly lowered do, anyways. Prius drivers don't like me either. I always drop down a gear to rub it in.

I get lots of complements but my most interesting encounter was a cop. I am cruising along about 35 and a unmarked state trooper rides along side me for about a mile with his window down looking at the boss grinning. I can only imagine what he was thinking.
Should have revved at him!

Yeah, I dig it when the little ones tell their parents,...look, look!!
My neighbor is a cop to, but I get the stink eye/ death stare from his wife. I think I scared her when rev'd it while starting off in 1st, responsibly, wasn't even 3k rpm, their little boy loved it had a grin from ear to ear.
At least I live on a closed street that loops around to an adjoining cul-de-sac so I have the option of taking the long way around. It's not so much the stink eye, but the 'cop eye', like he must give me the once over to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong. The other thing that annoys me is the do as I say, not as I do act of gesturing to drivers here to slow down driving thru our neighborhood, yet he can drive his cruiser at that same speed or higher cause he has a badge.
It wasnt what was said. It was a doucher trying to show me up by revving his motor And doing a quick fly-by at me in rush hour traffic. He thought he was really cool so I didn't bite into his game. I guess he felt the need to show his $110,000 BMW M6 tail lights to a Mustang to feel good about the money he blew.
