Had her out today and some teenager was mowing and stopped to watch me go by and he gave me the peace sign! Then a little later some kids were rough housing on their front lawn and they all just stopped and stared as I drove by. It is definitely an attention getter!!

I was at the local Sam's Club and decided to get some gas there. A lady working at the gas station was talking to a lady in a blue V-6 when I pulled in. Next thing I knew, she was over at my car, a Green 2013 Boss, and talking about the 429 she made her husband sell back in the day....and how he sold the stang and bought a Pinto. They are still married 30 years later. A guy pulled up on the other side of the pumps and said, "Nice Pony." My neighbor, who is a car guy, freakin loves the Boss.

 

I had to correct my girlfriend for the first month I owned the Boss. She's got it down now and actually corrects other people in conversation.

 

Showed my car to my girls for the first time and boy were they excited. They said dad you've got to drop us off at school with it! Pulled in for gas today at Costco and guy goes nice car.

 

While pumping gas at the local gas station/country store a guy in his mid 30's along with his son of about 8 or 9 exit the store. The youngster is staring at my car while he secures his helmet and jumps on his bicycle; dad doing the same. Son mumbles something to dad and as they ride off dad looks back with son in trail and yells out to his son "Boss 302... I don't even know what that means." way too funny!

 

 

I tried the radio to be sure it worked and have never had it on since. I heard "if you are listening to the radio when you are driving, you need to buy a different car". I also drive a stock 1929 Model A ford long distances and it has no radio. There is music from both cars that can't be beat.

 

I was actually listening to said radio (since improved with amp & speaker upgrade) on the way to Pep Boys last Saturday (FYI they have a 35$ off coupon for 5qts of Royal Purple AND filter, exp 10/31). Was stopped at an intersection where there were 3 lanes, I was in the center lane. I had the windows down and was listening to a CD and some guy in his 30's pulls up in this old black Jetta and says something with a big smile on his face. I couldn't hear a word he said as the light changed and he was gone while I sat and waited to go straight. For all I know he might have said, 'Hey man, turn off the tunes and listen to that engine!' but I didn't care, just gave him the thumbs up as he drove off.

They don't stock a lot of RP filters, so if you find they only have 1 of the 20-500 you will need for your Mustang, just grab another one they have in stock, keep your receipt, then go back in a week an exchange it. I was originally gonna put Amsoil in my Boss, but with such a great deal plus extra oil filters, I couldn't resist. Will make a separate post on the Motorcraft factory fill after I get a OA done.

 

When I take it to work my security guard puts the camera on it. He says there's a steady stream of people looking at it and taking pictures!

 

Went to a very nice restaurant in mine over the weekend. Porsches, BMW 6's etc. parked right in front of the restaurant. One of the valet guys runs past all of the cars ahead of me to get my car. He was very excited, knew that it was an LS, told me he loved the car all while we were waiting for the valet guy with the claim checks to work his way back to us. This guy just really wanted to get his turn in a Boss.

Another time my wife, who hates the car just because I bought another car we don't need, was with me as I was driving through a parking lot. A group of High School kids was coming out of a restaurant and all stopped and stared. One of the boys ran out into the parking lot and started doing a "We're not worthy" bow. My wife looked at me and asked, "Does stuff like that happen a lot?" I responded, "All the time Honey, all the time."

 

Very cool Scott! I was pulling into my parents church to pick them up and these teenagers were all giving me the hitch hiker thumbs! LOL

 

I ran in and bought some wine and when i came out 2 guys were walking around my car peeking at the seats. one guys says oooh nice car dude other guys is nodding i started it ... they started laughing really hard and swearing

 

Texas?? Nice restaurants?? I thought they were all diners and troughs.
