If you look at pictures of the race cars, you will see that they look closer to the "functional street wing." See how they are mounted? I think that is what they are using on the 302R.
The airfoil itself is probably the same.

Just ordered Boss 302S hood from Tiger Racing
in fiberglass $750 - 28 lbs
Also avabl in carbon $1500 - 15 lbs
Boss 302 hood 32 lbs
Weights are estimated paul (very helpful!) Didn't have the exact numbers in front of him
Production is about 3/4 weeks out

Not that I am going to do that (I hope anyway, spending way too much money now) but can't wait to see how it comes out I think MJockey was also planning on doing a 302S hood, might want to talk a bit with him.

They not only look real nice but are relatively inexpensive, I have seen them at $224 each. I think the Boss would have looked better with 18's but I am leaning toward the 302S rims also. If anything they look best on the KB.
