Unless Ford does a last minute update and decide to offer black on the non-LS Boss, I'll be going with Performance White w/Black Stripes

A simple search would have answered these gripping questions. Google or here.........or maybe just reading what has been posted.........
Hahaha,
Maybe you've been reading some inside info you would like to share with the rest of us. Besides the Ford press release info, all I've read so far is pure speculation from other members like us. My mistake on the color combo since black is not offered in the non-LS Boss but I have yet to read anything directly from Ford addressing these the option questions and making them official. As stated from the OP, Ford is known to make last minute changes and options offered is still unknown.......
If you can source any of your "factual" info from Ford, I owe you an apology.

All of his info is coming straight from the press releases. Chances are it won't be changing come production time. Looks like you'll want a base 302 with the optional Recaro seats.

99U = 440hp 4V 5.0L Ti-VCT V8.
44X = 6 speed manual transmission.

The two versions:

Rapid Spec 500A = Boss 302
  • Interior Choices: TW = Boss Cloth Seats, Dark Charcoal. MW = Boss Recaro Seats, Dark Charcoal.
Rapid Spec 501A = Boss 302 Laguna Seca
  • Interior: MW = Boss Recaro Seats, Dark Charcoal.
  • Stripes: Race Red.
Interesting. I just noticed that the Recaro code is the same for both cars. no differentiation for the white and red 'BOSS 302' stitching?

I'm also looking at the Kona Blue. Wondering what it will look like with black stripes? (if that is an option) I'm not a stripe guy so I'm thinking there will be less contrast with the black against the dark blue.... might not look as good as the white though.
I'll order the Recaro seats and Torsen diff since it suites the car's other attributes.
Ford really has hit a home run with the GT 5.0 IMO. I was looking at a 2012 GT until the Boss was announced.
Now I need to find a dealer and get on a list if that's how it works. Hope they don't try to mark up the price. Does anyone know if the x-plan and/or other incentives will be accepted?

I can almost guarantee that X-plan and incentives will not be offered on the Boss 302's, unless something terrible happens in the economy and the demand suddenly disappears for them. Even GT500's (built in bigger quantities) don't get X-plan or incentives. The specialty models typically don't.

I can't see X plan being offered on the Boss either. X plan is now being offered on the GT500, at least here in Canada, I'm oh so close to pulling the trigger on a 2011 GT500.

OK Thanks... Talked to a dealer today. They are checking about pricing, X-plan, incentive, coupons, waiting list, etc. Will let you all know..

Five Oh Brian works for a dealership and generally has pretty reliable information. I suspect he will be able to find out as well.

The system would automatically kick it out back to the dealer as an "unclean" build.
