Mileage

Ok, Ok, Ok, I know none of us bought this car for gas mileage, but I know it's on somebodies mind who doesn't have the car yet. Sooo w/ 2500miles on the clock...

I average 20.88 mpg with 60/40 highway/city. On an extended trip (entire tank) at 75-80mph I got 23.75mpg.

All are hand calculated. I'm more than happy with the mpg! Just an FYI for anyone interested!

Very interested. I'm planning on driving mine 30 hwy miles each way to work on nice days which is most of them in my neck of the woods. Most of my driving is 65-75 mph, 99% HWY.

My right foot is struggling with the mileage. My Boss doesn't like the hwy either and keeps taking me off the exit to some back road.

Of course I've only had it for a few hundred miles, but that is what I am seeing too. Not too bad considering the amount of WOT blasts it has seen.

I have 3500 miles on my boss and except for a road trip from D.C. to Philly, I have never averaged more than 15 mpg. Most of my driving is suburban commuting and accelerating is way too much fun for me to do any better than 15 mpg.

I picked up my 302 last night and drove 225 miles to get home. Got 22mpg on interstate at 70mph. Will probably get less than tjat when I start driving the way I want.
Regarding WOT, only did that twice so far and it scared me.

Scared...really? I want to be scared. And WOT only twice in 200+ miles? I plan on doing that twice within the first mile.

I can't say the car scared me (cops maybe), buuut, it does break ever speed limit in the area at the top of second gear, so you don't get much time to enjoy it!!

Never got over 15. Don't like the low fuel light when there is a third of a tank left (75 left out of 225).

Yeh, driving back from Irving, TX after midnight when I picked up my Boss, I had to stop for caffiene 3 times. The most fun was getting back on the interstate. I think I hit 90 in 3rd gear every time on the on-ramp, and then I coasted back to the speed limit
