LOOONG Wait for #925
My car was built on May 27th finally arrived on July 14th. In addition to teaching, I am also part-owner of a drivers education company. So, I am on the road with a couple of students and as we're coming out of a country drive and into the city, we pass over I-94 and I point out to the kids that it tends to busy here due to the exit ramp and the truck stop that usually contains 100+ trucks. As we pass by the truck stop, I notice an orange Boss on top of a car-hauler. I tell the kids we're gonna take a quick detour and turn around a 1/4 mile up the road and come back to check out this car hauler. I have every intention of finding out where he's heading. But, by time we turn around and get to the truck stop, the car hauler is gone. Figures.
About 15 minutes later, I get a call from my salesman telling me he's taking a picture of my car as it's being loaded off the hauler. I actually think I had a tear in my eye as he told me that. He continues to tell me that the truck driver actually got pulled over 3 times on the 3 hour trip by the Michigan State Police just so they could check out the Boss on back of the hauler. Too funny.
Took delivery today. Took time to remove and save all the shipping plastic and other materials. Washed it and proceeded to put 130 miles on it. I can't believe how much faster it is than a 2010 Mustang GT. My 25 year old son drove it commented every 15 seconds how cool and fast the car is.
Plan on keeping it stock, maybe doing a few autocrosses and track days after it gets broken it. Also plan on attending the Woodward Dream Cruise in August in Detroit. Thanks for listening; I feel like a kid on Christmas morning.

Went there last Saturday, saw a RR one too.
Will most likely go again tonight.
You might think about going to the Mustang Memories show in Dearborn at Ford HQ Aug 7th.
Enjoy!

I imagine there will be 20 or so new Boss's at the Dream Cruise. I also plan on taking part in Mustang Alley(http://www.mustangalley.net/). Right now there are 10 '12 Boss's signed up and over 600 other Mustangs; it wold be cool to get a few more and park/cruise by/with each other.
I'll look into the Mustang Memories, this is my first Ford in a long time, so I am kinda out of the loop on such events.

Congratulations, I know you were really frustrated with the wait that all too many of us know about. Looks like Friday July 15th was a good day for delivery. BTW mine was broken in as I pulled off the lot dropping about 20 feet of rubber then bouncing off the rev limiter and chirping the tires catching second gear. I wasn't planning on doing that but what can I say...
