i just noticed you are in Louisiana Al, tuck in those vagina lips and come up to the track. ECR isn't far form Shreveport/bossier city area. in fact I run some autocrosses in that area too. i think you could do with some character building boss 302 style, bring your lube. I'll spot you half a lap at ECR, i suspect you and your blower will need it. 
this reminds me, idk if any of you play rFactor, the PC racing game. i just found not long ago they actually have a ECR track map for download. Not a bad recreation either.

I had an incident with an e46 m3. He hovers around me and does a Fly by on me. But just as I looked he's giving me a frantic thumbs down. Wtf? So I catch up and asked him what's up? He blares his music and acts like he can't hear me... 2xwtf!!!? The light turns green and he guns it. I pass him pretty badly and we get caught at a red light again. I commented that his car is pretty quick. Another thumbs down from him 3x WTF!!! Talk about having a complex!
Btw I owned 2Ms and 2 other bmws , and let me tell you this guy doesn't represent the bimmer crowd

Not saying the guy dissing the Boss wasn't a d*ck, I wasn't there so I don't know but I'm not surprised that he didn't think the Boss was a track car. Up until recently, I never thought of Mustangs as track cars. Most people still don't unless they really read up all types of cars. I know most people, even quite a few Mustang people have no idea what my car is.
Personally, now that they have Toyota engines and trannys I really like Lotus, the Exige way more than the Elise though. Too bad that there is no way I can fit my tall fat body into one. Also, Al's right, im too cheap (or too poor) to buy one and put it on the track.
I do know quite a few people who buy the best handling most powerful version of whatever vehicle and never take it to any track or even really get on it on the road. I know a guy that bought a ZR1 vette as soon as they came back out. He takes it to Covette meets and cruises. He told me that it is really powerful and on one of the trips he got it up to 125. Is he wasting the potential of the car? Yes. Could he tell a difference performance wise between it and a regular Vette the way he drives? No. Would owning a stock Vette or a 2003 Cobra vert make him as happy as owning the ZR1? No way. Sometimes you want the car based on other things than how fast it will potentially go.

Oh I like the subtlety of this post ^^^. :Lol: Good job. And yes your car is only as bad as you can prove with it. Unfortunately, not many ZR1 owners will ever push their car much like a majority of Boss owners. If you buy a great car but never experience it's true greatness, is it just a cute car?
