Was this the first 1800 miles omn the car?
If it was, it's just the engine breaking in.
If you have 3000+ miles on the car and are using a quart every 1800 miles, it's consuming somewhat more that it should.
BTW, I did my first oil change after 2000 miles.
I don't like the fine metal particles from break-in or particles left in the block churning around in the oil too long.

While we're on the oil subject... I just got done changing the oil in my '12 GT and I could not believe how dark it was, this is at 1000 miles! Anyone else notice this? I have not seen any usage of oil yet, but it's only been 1000. I just switched to Mobil 1, hopefully it stays cleaner much much longer.
get it on the track for a few 30 minute sessions.
