Alright I'll bite. BMW makes great looking vehicles that are very well built and engineered. And they don't need an extremely gaudy stripe package to prove some type of "superiority". Pass the popcorn.

1) I'm on a Mustang site & I'm a Ford guy.
I was a dyed in the wool Ford guy from before I could drive until the nineties when Ford stop building cars that excited me. I then became a car guy hoping Ford (and for that matter Lotus F1) would return to former glories. When the Retro Mustang debuted I ran to the dealership ready to buy, then took a test drive. Bought a custom orange BMW 330ci Cabriolet instead. When the redesign came out, I liked that the got rod of the droopy front end but couldn't get past the rear to even try one out. Bought a 335i Twin Turbo Coupe. Heard about the Boss last August and immediately placed an order with my dealer who had yet to hear about it. "you will," I told him. Now if just Lotus could get their act together.
2) I said I wouldn't be caught dead in a Bimmer as I think they're hideous looking
Every passionate car guy has a brand he hates. For me, that's Lexus.
3) I don't care for foreign cars
I don't car for Chrysler much, but have owed one or two. Other than that I pretty much try and drive everything made. It's like having your very own Top Gear show.

What I like about this Ford site by and large is that we do talk kindly about other cars. Shows Ford really does enjoy a leadership position. Mopar sites and Camaro 5 are all so defensive about their cars. When they are not bragging of course. And BImmer sites are showing some insecurity in their brand as well, as being the bogey man for so many others for so long must be wearing them down. I think this site is the best car forum site about possibly one of the all rime great cars.

It's also true though that I would not spend $55+k for a car that looks like the now defunct Pontiac Grand Prix. I don't hate BMW, I just don't like their styling, or complete lack thereof.
