Just joined 2013 Grabber Blue... Pics and a Vid! and a question!!!

Also after the track day I decided I'm either getting:

Kenny Brown Sport/Comp package
http://store.kennybrown.com/product/...ss-302-mustang

OR

KW CLUB SPORTS

ANY INPUT? What is a better route to go?

TRACK VID (stock but baffles on removed) : Buttonwillow westloop - best lap of 1:20:71

I would see if you can drive either suspension (street or track) before you buy....obviously it would be someone else Mustang

I would track your Boss as much as possible in stock form, and learn the lines of the tracks. The Boss is an amazing car in stock form. All I have done to my 2013 is alignment parts like adjustable lower control arms and panhard bar. Soon I will be putting Caster Camber plates on my car. After you track it a few times then slowly try to make it get faster and faster. A coilover setup is not always the answer to go faster. The Ford engineers put countless hours into this vehicle to make it as fast as possible on track.

Agree with Grabber Blue 310, just track your car and one can tell you have some talent just watching the video. Spend your first bucks on sticky tires and some lightweight rims, and then MM camber plates. The stock suspension is great , especially if you like to climb the curbing to rotate, and we know you have to hit em hard to sneak through the esses quickly at Buttonwillow.

Not saying that you may not want to do something later, but the car is very quick and other items will give you a bigger reward initially than doing the shocks/struts/etc. Whether Kenny Brown or something even more sophisticated like a MCS setup, do tires and camber plates first.

Enjoy , the Boss is a beast that loves to eat the competition.

PS- the first thing I would actually tell you to get for roadracing is an MGW short throw shift kit, but they are far enough behind you will be able to get other things first , so better just order it now, ha!

I went to Vorshlag cc plates in my 2012 Boss did lower springs at same time to save labor$

Very easy track side adjust to dial in camber 2.9 degrees
then dial it back for the drive home :-)

I agree but for me it is not necessarily about going faster but enjoy the car's handling more. I was having trouble with a bit of understeer on the Mazda turn at buttonwillow. Thought I would have fun if the car had a little more oversteer. Maybe an alignment on the stock suspension is enough for that but then I did think there was a little bit too much body roll.

And yes stickier rubber would make me faster but I think it would magnify the current issues.
And with brakes I'm just worried about brake squeal when daily driving. Had that prob in my GT3, was hell. Think was beyond loud

Just flush brake system with RBF600 and get separate pads for track use only. Easy swap in the morning go back to stock after track day.

As good as the stock suspension, a good aftermarket setup is worlds better on track. Why waste seat time getting a "feel" for the stock suspension only to ultimately change it all up down the road?

Have a set of MM Camber plates and got rid of your issues with that alone. Reasoning behind waiting a bit on a suspension is quite simple...........there are a myriad of choices and some work better than others depending on how serious you get or your driving style. Whereas one gentleman is stating just get it and don't waste your time on driving on a stock suspension, I would simply answer a bit of time gives you some insight into what suspension works best for you. We do alot of suspensions at our Dealership and surprisingly we end up doing different things for guys who just got a set up, but it doesn't fit their style or the tracks they run. The other issue is some guys are super technical and want to set up for each track. Most of the systems are not as adjustable as say an MCS system, so they are fine for some, but a really mechanically inclined individual may want more adjustability. JUst food for thought , but don't discount the stock set-up, there are guys going really quick with it and just a few minor changes.

I was looking at the KB stuff as well since it is proven to work on a track, but I would +1 to Fastoldman in saying that you should get to know the car and push it as much as possible before deciding what is needed. I don't think it takes that long to start realizing what is needed.

Thanks for sharing pics and video! Enjoy that ride at the track. You should do well in stock form, or with mods. It's up to you.
