1999 See the specs and road tests of the FR500 with the 2005 body style
Fell in love with the engine and style. I wanted to buy one when available!
2000 Drive brother in law's 2000 R Loved it.
2001 Ordered 2001 Cobra - Perf Red Love it.
2002 Ordered 2003 Cobra - Yellow, Spring delievery - delays till Sept.
Recieved in time to put away for winter with the 2001.
2003 Start selling the 2001, but changed my mind, 2003 was to heavy and
did not feel as good as 2001 for driving/handle
2003 Sell 2003, and start buying FR500 Parts for 2001 to build the FR500
2005 Found out FRPP was going to sell the FR500 Crate engine. I talked to
a good friend (Parts Manager) and arranged with FRPP to get the
#1 crate FR500 sold to public!
2005 Dropped the FR500 5.0 in the 2001 and it has been a blast to drive and race.
2009 Heard about the new FRPP 5.0 engine that was runing in the 2010 race season.
started searching for the crate engine to buy and pricing the 2010 car for
a setup like I have now in the 2001. (My home grown Boss 302)
Car = 30k, Engine was about 25k = ~55k
2010 Heard rumors arout the Boss 302 and started checking it out. Found out that
it would have the car + engine and more that I wanted as a package.
2010 Called the dealer in WA right away and wanted on the list to be the first!
The rest are details that I believe everyone is going though now.
2011 Car built 3/16/2011 and ready to ship (Drop Shipped to AK) for me to pickup
about 4/18/2011
Today I am a happy camper! Great Dealer and a Great Car coming for the summer
season as it is to short here. It will arrive about the time the roads are dry and ice and snow will be gone!
