second this...
matticx,
seconding what Andy's saying here. I'm an ex-ford dealer rep and know many of the west coast dealers well...TFSMH is top notch. It's the only place I go for sales or service - and there are closer dealers to me.
where'd you buy your car, btw?

You can buy the trackey voucher (which has a unique code on it) from any ford racing dealer. Once you have it, you should be able to take the voucher, your red key, and car to any ford dealer for programming. Of course based on the posts in this thread, it sounds like the programming part may be an adventure.
I know the dealer I used is probably the only one in the area that has done any (maybe 4 or 5), and they have only one tech that they allow to do them.
Like I said, you can buy it yourself or do a one stop shop (voucher and install) through your dealer, but I learned that if your installing dealer isn't an official ford racing dealer, they'd have to buy the voucher through one who is.
There are deals on vouchers out there if you buy it yourself. Tousley ford in MN is a popular source...about $100 off retail.

I bought at Star Ford in LA, they made it real easy to get the car at MSRP and I was already down there selling my prior car.

Well, third attempt has failed.
Ford Store Morgan Hill was very nice and took the car in but they entered the voucher code that I bought from Serramonte Ford a while ago and the computer kicked it back as already being used.
Of course, Ford Racing is closed on Saturday so I have no choice but to take the packet back to Serramonte during the week or call Ford Racing when they're open also during the week.
Why is it so hard to do anything on a Saturday? I'd figure that'd be prime time for people wanting to get service work done on their car, but I guess people just want time off from their job during the week. :\

Do you think there is an off chance that your car is now programmed with track key, but the dealer was so incompetent that they didn't realize they installed it correctly?
Have you tried either the silver or red key to see if you get the message on the panel that says track key in use?
Remember, either key can be mated to the track key program.
It just doesn't have to be the red key.

Unlikely, they have to enter the code into Ford Racing's website in order to even get the program. From what I understand, the car wasn't even hooked up to the flasher.
