I am livid !!

Dealer emails me this morning, says that his allocations have changed.

They were originally getting two Laguna Secas, one in the second qtr, - mine, and one in the fourth qtr.

Well today he says Ford has taken away/changed the allocations based on production, and that they are now getting only one Laguna Seca, the fourth qtr car, but it's still mine if I want it.

What I originally thought would be June/July delivery, based on production delays, parts shortages, etc. and that I would be able to enjoy it at least for four months and maybe an open track event has become a dead of winter delivery and put away till spring of 2012.

I don't know what else to say or do.

Buy snow tires?

Man... that's a bummer. I guess if you have the money for it, buy a 6-month CD with a good yield on it, kick back and relax.

Good Luck whatever you decide.

I hope you guys can get this worked out with the dealer. Perhaps they are trying to find a 2nd one.

I had a similar situation back in February, when the 1st dealer I placed an order with was told they had allocation for 1 Boss order, only to be told later on that they did not. I know exactly how you feel. I ended up having to go through another dealer, with the help of members here, to get an order placed.

In the end, it worked out fine. Hopefully the same is true for you.

YOU'RE the one I feel bad for. Dave might have to wait for his but he should count himself lucky.

I think the dealer is pretty unhappy - they lost an allocation. They now have to wait to hear from a customer who's been told they will have to wait months for their car before they can tell another customer that they may have to wait until next year's model. So, one lost allocation and two potentially unhappy customers.

I still don't know how long they will build 2012's. There might actually be a 'fifth' quarter, so to speak, if they build into late spring/early summer of next year.

My bet is they really only had one allocation to begin with.

Sounds similar to my story earlier this year. I was told for 6 months I had a Laguna Seca coming, only to be told in April "oops I guess not", so here I am without a Boss...

I really hope things work out for you guys, or at least you get some answers.

Wait! Are you saying it's possible this dealer only had one allocation?
