Help: interior light won't go off?!?!

Included of pic of where I mean. The light inside the car won't turn off when it's on. Turns off when I turn the car off. And yes I'm not retarded I have hit the buttons that turn them on and off. Are there any other buttons or something that could be causing these to stay on?

From the 12MY owner's guide, see third bullet. Might check that one.

"Dome/Map lamps
The dome lamp lights when:.
• any door is opened.
• any of the remote entry controls
are pressed and the ignition is
off.
• the instrument panel dimmer
switch is rotated up, past the
detent, until the courtesy lamps
come on.
The map lamps are activated by
pressing the controls on either side of the lamp."

I bet it'll be the instrument panel dimmer............it's the thumbwheel to the by the headlamp switch.

If you wind it all the way up so that your instrument lights are at their brightest setting, the interior lights will stay on. Not sure what the maximum time is, but I've made this mistake and the lights were still on after 30 mins!

Wind the thumbwheel back down to about half way, then the interior lights will go out after a few seconds.

Yeah, I panicked when I first did this

When all else fails, read the owners manual.
Don't feel bad, have done the same thing with other features.

I knew this too... ::facepalm::

Thanks for highlighting it though. Sometimes we forget the simplest solution and make things harder than they need to be.
