I just put a set of 18" wheels/tires on my '07 Gt ......some assh*le steal my old ones... so, I bought a new ones from an GT convertible who bought 20"s ...so, I put on the new shoes, and about some miles later, the message pops up in the DIC window-TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM FAULT.

I can shut off the warning by hitting the reset button, but i don't want to have to do that every hour or so of driving... how in the heck do i shut this thing off?? Please, I hope...somebody can help me!

Thank you..

What size wheels did you have on before... 17"? If so, the dealer will have to reset the system...

Jonah, could be your new wheels don't have a Tire Pressure Monitoring System

Are the wheels from an '06 Mustang? If so you will need to get these sensors installed.

Yeah, What Steve said... I Have an 07 and installed new wheels. I had to have the dealer install new metal/aluminum straps. They swapped out the sensors but the straps are non-reusable. If you change wheels sizes, the computer will have to be recalibrated as well. It is a little complicated... but it's the future. All new vehicles will soon have this system to be in compliance with federal guidlines. I haven't seen anything out there yet, but I'm sure that there is a way to deactivate it...

Don't know about the wheel sensors but steel! if your overall dimension don't change no need to calibrate most of the time when we go up in rim size tires drop in side wall hight! you know like 235/55/17 then you go to 255/40/18's inch bigger rims but drop in side walls to stay in the prescribed over all dimensions that Ford recommends!..
