I noticed that some Boss 302's have a headlight with a plain black bezel. Some others have a chrome-trimmed bezel. My orange has a plain black bezel and cloud9's has a chrome trim around the turn signal-parking light. Both have Recaro-Torsen package. So far I deducted that color and Recaro-Torsen package don't affect the headlight trim. I put up a simple poll and I separated the Laguna Seca package. Let's see if we can see a trend.

Interesting...my Kona blue (#227 with recaro/torsen) has chrome trimmed headlights.

0001 and 0333 both had chrome

 

This is kind of funny; can't believe it took so long to end up as a topic. Mine with black is 2005. Not sure what is the right one but you can see how it happens with every version of Stang they make going through the line at the same time.

The chrome has a look that is more HID like while the black looks more old school. I like black better; just because I have black!

 

To me all the cars pictured are chrome. My understanding of the poll is that chrome refers to black with chrome trim around the lenses.

Very interested to see a closeup pic if you have one. From what I can see in the pics in your profile, I would call yours chrome, in that there is chrome around the lamps. There definitely is black in the rest of area.
Does your lens look different than the pic of Kaaden's car in the post below your pic?
