Awesome! Thanks for the post!

I have looked at the GT at the dealership and was drawn immediately to the BOSS. Buying the GT while saving maybe a few pennies would be counter productive towards my long time goals...

The factory BOSS intake would be removed IF and when I decide to do the blower upgrade... Only real concern is the power train warranty from Ford atm. I do not really want to take delivery of a new vehicle and right off the bat blow the power train warranty. So unless I can get someone to warrant the engine with the S/C upgrade... it may have to wait until the warranty from the factory is no more...
The CAI wont matter is the factory one will do the same thing.. just a waste of money. The color mainly depends on where I come out in the end financially. I was pre approved for $60k. BUT.... I do not want to finance the entire car, and also I am waiting for a settlement. So that will be the real determining factor... If things roll for me this year, and not against me,
(like they did with the ZL1 that was built for me) and IF I can get a Seca at msrp or just slightly over, I will go for the seca... IF I cannot swing a deal or have to settle for less than It will be a race red boss...
Only aesthetic changes on the black seca are in order... if I get a race red boss, then no external asthetic changes, only MAYBE a super charger in the future.
Depends all on my settlement and how the dealers want to play ball.
If I do not have my settlement by aug, or my boss by aug this year (my deadline not the settlements) I will have to re asses for next year.
I know even though the first part of the year was rocky for me (my zl1 was on qtr hold since feb 2) I know and feel deep down I will have an out standing year end.

I really wanted a black base Boss, and I don't understand why Ford can't offer the Boss in all Mustang colors. It's built on the same assembly line. My dealer made all the phone calls he could think to make, but to no avail. Ford is just not gonna do it. So I ended up with white.

And yeah, I did consider getting a Track Pack GT, but the minimalist nature of the Boss really appeals to me. If I got a TP car, the better half would want power seats and heated seats and all the crap, and by the time I got done modding I'd have as much in it as a Boss, so the Boss works out better for me.

Congratulations on your new boss.

I think its as some have said, marketing, but its largely due to the bosses history on why there are a limited number of colors for this model. Trying to pay tribute to the original 69 and 70's model.

It is my understanding that if you purchase the Ford Racing supercharger you can maintain your warranty. I would assume this is IF Ford installs it.
