Got mine yesterday, good and...hmm
I know you added the brake ducts, are you going to run stock brakes and tires your first time out with the car?
how in the world can you find yoursellf attempting to shift from 1rst to 2nd gear at below 2000rpm, I just dont get it, I use 1rst for what its made to do: pull the car out of a standstill and get to 2nd gear at 4000/4500. no Im not a street racer, just following the engine's need for an upshift. am I missing something? can't think of a situation where you'd want 2nd gear at 25 miles an hour, and if thats what desired, why not start in 2nd gear???
to me that skip shift feature is a non issue, just shift when the engine needs shifting.

its a 3.73 rear end so gears are short, if you shift from 1rst to 2nd at 2000rpm you'll end practically idlying in 2nd practically (lol) and you basically stay in 1rst for like less than 1 second. ..
when you shift from 1rst to 2nd at @4000, you arrive IN 2nd at 3,250 about which gives you just enough to stay there at around 30miles an hour, or pull a bit more and switch to 3rd gear @40-45miles an hour about. I must add that car cruises nice at around 3000, and anything under 3000RPM in that car wont give you any quick reaction torque curve to push ahead, so it will feel like a sluggish sled and in traffic around town I want to keep reaction times as short as possible...
granted I'm used to european cars, so I may be used to hear the engine rpms higher, but if feels right in the Boss (and the red line is 7500 thats a long way to go!).
anyway to each their own of course

I'm in Coyote Valley, between South San Jose and Morgan Hill. Hmmm kinda fitting to live in "Coyote" Valley!
Love the white car BTW...

Oh and I have a hard time shifting early too guys... My PowerStroke diesel 6-Speed redlines at like 2800 so I take it there at WOT daily. My '64 Falcon convertible with a 289 and a Toploader likes to go to the redline of 5500 at WOT before shifting.
close by too...
Dave knows this already, but 'hi' Andy. I'm in los gatos and I have a white car on order...supposed to have been built today. Jun 2 eta.
Dave, who are you going with the T-Hill?

Can't wait to have some Boss "Tech Days" at the house. Could easily work on 6 or 7 cars in the driveway. Had guys come from as far as OR and AZ to work on Ford PowerStroke trucks one Sat about a month ago.
