Got mine yesterday, good and...hmm
I have seen the light for shifting when driving and shifting about 2k taking it very easy about town but I just shift it like I want and have never had a issue. The light is a little distacting but I am OK with it. It sounds like it locks/blocks the 2nd gear shift for others, but not for me (yet!)
Sometimes I'll just skip second on go to third if I'm in stop n' go traffic. That way I still got some torque if I need it.
I was out today driving hard, on the way home it would not do it as I tried leaving first below the 3K, so maybe it "remembers" driving habits for track use. Did you try low RPM shifting after a new/cold start?

Yap...I'm on that thread...she's been crowing about a fix coming soon and directed a quote to me as well. We'll see...in the past customer service has mentioned a fix is coming and then all we got was the QDC patch/nonsense. In the end a gear oil change is masking a problem not correcting it.

Guys, I didn't fiddle with anything that could affect skip shift, I just don't have it. Yesterday, I experimented shifting below 2k while the car was hot......NO skip shift. Maybe my car is unique and I should put it on eBay!

I use to think the same thing, then it just started happening. There's definitely a small window when it will work. You need to be light on the gas and shift as soon as you see the message on the display.

I have not experienced it either on my wife's '11 5.0 either. Just so we are clear on what this feature is/does. if you shift out of first at low RPM, instead of it allowing you to slide down into 2nd, it forces you straight down into 4th, right? Or is it auto-magically putting you in 4th gear while in the 2nd gear shift slot? Maybe it's a dumb question to consider the latter, as I wouldn't think it possible...

It is very stupid indeed. I never had it happen the first two months but today it forced me into fourth at low RPM's on a side street. Second time in a week. I was in today for the hanging side pipe and asked the SM if I disconnect it, will that have any effect on warranty, he said probably not but connect it back up if I need service in that area.
