So... before we get way out in left field is.... Bottom line is the car is too much money....or at least for me... If others were born with a silver spoon in they're mouth
(which I surely was not) buy it. The point of back n forth of what msrp is, options are..blah blah blah, is moot. Do your own research and pay what YOU would pay for the car. As that is all the car is worth anyway...what the buying public will pay.. nothing more, nothing less. Also you may or not be aware that
MOST finance company's will only finance what is insurable on a car... even on new cars....
They (finance institutions) go by the book as well and MSRP or adm makes no flip at all to a financial institution.
Not trying to play hard ball here its just I know there are some inexperienced buyers (not saying I know everything but I have been around) that may pay MORE for a car just because of the fact we live in a "gotta have it now world." Don't be too eager to burn your cold hard earned cash on a adm when its been a proven fact if you wait for something long enough ( I too am guilty of this) and do your research you usually will come out at least OK on a deal and buy the car that you want with all the options that you want. The problem is MOST dealers will not tell you this. They want you to buy it NOW. Case in point, the sales woman I went to go see yesterday was doing everything she could to sell me a GT. I am not in the market for a GT. I told her that more than once.
She wanted me to sit in it, drive it blah blah blah.. She is not there to make me feel "good" she simply wants to sell a car and sell it now.
Sorry for the long post. I am off my soap box now. I know dealers have a right to make money. They have to eat just like you and I. But believe me when I say this... I have said it at least once or twice, and I will say again..Dealers and SALESMEN make money EVEN if it is sold for LESS than invoice So there is NO need to pay ANY ADM! Period. I am done now.
No worries dude. I get what your saying. What thay lady was doing to you was just not good business. I only sell cars that the customer wants. I factory order more cars than anyone else in my store. Its because I tell them to not settle and get what they exactly want, even if it means ordering it. I've been here for 15 years & will be here longer. I don't have to sell you something this very minute if you don't like it.

I talked to these clowns with the GHIG Boss in Indianapolis today. They think the car is the hottest thing since sliced bread. The sales guy told me that "no one on the planet is going to sell a boss for sticker right now." I went on to point out several dealers were doing just that and that I had that in writing. He said their dealer had sold a SBY one for $51000 just this week. Not sure I buy that, but it sounds like they are looking for at least a few grand over sticker for the car. A sucker is born every minute, but not me this time.

Hey bud, you should have told him that a dealer on the forum you frequent is sold his at MSRP! I hate hate hate dealers who preach crap like "no one is going to sell a Boss at sticker right now"!! Why won't I? He's passing up a guaranteed sale trying to get greedy, while smart dealers sell them at MSRP and get the sale. They will have that car for a while, especially at that price!!!

Tell ya what bro. I am working a sale out as we speak with one of my local dealers and he has been "good as gold" with me thus so far. You can imagine how any little thing could set me off to start walking. So far he has not pushed one of "my buttons" but if for some reason the sale goes bad for whatever reason, I am going to look you up. Youll be on my list for sure to buy from. I don't mean to have a "tude" but you do not seem to have one and my sales man atm does not seem to have one. My salesman is walking the mile with me at the moment, and I think doing that with a customer says a LOT. He has been more interested in "me" per sey (we know hes really not but hey) than the actual car itself. I tickle his ear in other words, and its not the other way around. I respect him for it and he will get my business till I drive off the lot with the car. That is when a deal is "sold" and not until then. The experience with the dealership and salesman to me is what is most important, not the numbers. IE, id rather stuff an extra $500 bucks in your shirt pocket for you keeping it cool and rolling with me. Know what im saying? To me, great customer service, a good dealership with moderately knowledgeable people behind the product does it for me. I don't care if I know more about the car than you do.. etc... That's an easy one to figure out. Put If were to pull into your dealership and ask you where the Green Mustang is, you bet your behinds I know its there and at least you should know its there. Right??
How could you not know you have a "green mustang" if you walk passed it
on your lunch break everyday as its sitting on your show room floor? You gonna come up to me and say hey.. "what green mustang??"
Bad idea. While we are on the subject about dealers still...
I went to town east ford...... Local to me... now, town east ford has been here almost as long as I have lived in mesquite, but I have been here longer... My point being.. I started doing real well with a salesmen....
UNTIL the following happened... I explained to my salesman I wanted to sit on something besides a recaro because the side bolsters were a tad uncomfy to me when sliding across them to enter and exit the car... Once I got in the recaros I was fine.. I simply wanted to try the standard seats to see the difference in feel. So he look dumfounded...What?? The boss 302 only comes in recaros right? SO right there I have the salesman asking me about his product.. no biggie there. I said, No, the boss comes standard with standard seating with boss 302 logo... but recaros are optional... So anyway... He then refereed me to his "mustang specialist"
She was a young lady that was young enough to be my daughter but none the less She took me outside to see another stang....
She too did not understand the boss could be ordered without recaros
Not a biggie... so thats two strikes on knowledge here....
Anyway she found me a V6 that had standard seats and i slid in and out and we talked on about the car.....
The next day... I called my salesman.. I asked him something about stripe delete, or ordering a shaker system... I can't remember which my question was, but should have been what I thought a simple question...
He had to go ask and I was fine with that answer.. I said..."Well, maybe I can just ask your mustang "specialist" (i was being serious) and maybe she will know the answer or you can ask her and just let me know.
His reply...." No... I am not going to let you speak with her again because I don't want her to get any of my money"
Now.... He just lost me as a customer even though he does not yet realize it for that simple statement. I don't know.. Maybe I am being too harsh..
maybe I am not. But there are so many dealers I have bought from over the years.. and Not once can i recall little pickey issues as this.
Maybe that statement would not bother you guys maybe it would. But if you can't work with your co workers without making a comment like that in front of a customer.. then maybe you need a little more training in customer service? Maybe I should have went to his manager about it but instead I decided to go shopping elsewhere. So far my latest decision has been the best.
