Able to recreate shifting issues (high rpm lockouts, synchros). Several phone calls made, super secret fix in route (hopefully). If not, more radical (expensive for Ford) steps to come. Wish me luck!

High rpm shift lockout from 1-2 and 3-4. He collected data from lapper attached to port. Confirmed problem. I jokingly suggested tranny and clutch from 302s or GT500 should fix it right up. Don't know if he was amused or not, but he enjoyed the testing!

Ah. I'm excited to get back to the track in November. I haven't been since I removed the clutch assist spring and installed the Whiteline transmission bushing filler. I'm hoping that solves any shifting issues. I was primarily experiencing the pedal sticking.

Here's what I did and it solved the issue:
Had the MGW shifter installed and that cured any 2-3 shifting.
Experienced the 1-2 lockout under heavy load. After some research, especially with older Shelby owners I found this product. CHE Performance K member brace with Engine Torque Limiters. Chuck is the owner/designer.
Because our Tranny's have remote shifters, then the geometry, under heavy load can "flex" just enough to cause the 1-2 lockout experienced by drag racers and the 3-4 road racers.

I had the K member installed and it has solved the lockout problem for me. The shifter/trans feels great and solid.
I'm curious to know what Ford does.

Trying to stay away from spending my money. Extra clutch pedal effort won't fly with the Mrs and daughter. Let me know how your mods work out. Have considered MGW if can't get factory fix. Not an issue unless driven 'briskly' but that's why we got it!
If the only real issue we have, love the Boss.

Good luck getting Ford to do anything about the clutch not working at high RPM's. They've been aware of the problem for over two years and still have no solution.

I understand it's an uphill struggle. They are going to spend the the least they can. As it not a DD an nearing winter, I'm going to be the squeaky wheel. Polite, but squeaky. Stay tuned!

I understand how the machine works. They know there are issues. I'm willing to play by the 'rules' for now. I get that it might take some time, but I'm a stubborn, old, busted up farmer. In it to win it. Love the car, know it's different than a mainstream car that is being driven to it's potential. (Within my limited skill set.)
I have owned two Audi's before the Boss. Totally different kind of driving experience. They were awesome in their build quality and their price was commensurate. Loved them to death. To meet the same level of PERFORMANCE in an Audi as the would have been $70k plus. At $40k the Boss is a bargain.
That said, I will work with Ford to resolve my issues and hope for a reasonable resolution. I'm sure they love happy customers!
