Not a bad idea but it is so easy to change out I don't think it is needed.

Good ears, that is exactly correct. The best way to listen to the vids is to concentrate on the engine noise and let the exhaust be an afterthought (at least when listening to the vids while driving). I don't mind that to a point but wide open it gets too much for me.

I called the dealer again on Fri, they could not get thed dscs a few weeks ago and still the same story can not even look up a price. They did find the little gasket in there and said it was $10, so I assume the discs will be more. If anyone else can contact the dealer and get a price, great. For now I will continue to work on these next week.

Restricting the H pipe crossflow would make it sound louder as well, with any sized hole. That's what Ford did with the '08 Bullitt.
7/8 hole sized sounded great!

Scott, thanks for all of your work on this. I've heard a stock Boss and was surprised how quiet it was. That's not to say it was real quiet just quieter than my expectations. I did not get to drive the car and put a load on it so I suspect it's a bit louder when actually driving. What raises the hair on the back of my neck is screaming high revving engines not necessarily loud ones. So I suspect I'll keep mine closer to 1/2" when my car arrives. Think the sound of an F1 car vs. a Top Fuel car. (BTW my kids think I do a really cool FI imitation when playing Mario Kart )

This is so cool that Ford designed the exhaust so that we could tune the sound to our liking.

I ran for a week with the driver side disc out and yesterday took the passenger side out. If you accel easily it's not loud but when you put the pedal down at all it scares the crap out of people in cars alongside. Very nice effect.

I wrote my reply early in the morning, this would not work because the plate mounts on two studs with bolts. You will need to remove the pipe no matter what, you could make them both sloted but for the work it would save I would not.

Messing with the new GoPro so I stuck it on the side of the car. Would have been nice to have had this before, anyway here is a better idea of the 7/8's.

Too funny, I took the vid and still tilt my head watching it I tried to find a way to flip it (the vid) on it's side but could not.
