I was being smart...We have other plans for the sidepipes for the future. I just have to order another factory H pipe and side pipe assembly first and that's not in the budget right now!

We were going to install test pipes with the factory H pipe, but I didn't want to modify any parts of the factory exhaust...so this is what we are doing for now. When the FRPP electric cut outs are available, Phase II of the exhaust begins

Unless detonation burns a piston, Ford can't deny warranty especially for something like piston slap. That's a build issue not an abuse issue. With a tune and exhaust the sure can void warranty on driveability and that's about it. Besides i am sure they wouldn't want the bad press of one of their first production "Halo" car having piston slap from the factory and not being covered...
I'm just saying be cautious and quite honestly you should have a deal worked out with Evo that they pickup the bill if something goes wrong since you're basically being a test dummy.
