Drove the car today...first time since swapping out the lights which I don't THINK is in anyway connected to what happened today..
A few min into the ride the check engine light lit up...no symptoms other than that... then a few min later the "mulit display" guage in the center of the LS guage pod started swinging back on forth and acting STUPID... finally it landed to rest showing 5.77 G's and locked up...
ANY IDEA what the heck is going on.. Do I have to take it back to ford to pull any codes?
ANY HELP would be appreciated!

Could be a short. You swapped the headlights or interior?

 

Not trying to be rude, but how hard would it be to return to stock configuration and doing a power reset to see if problem goes away?

 

Disconnected the batt over night.... guage problem went away... CEL came back after about 60 miles....carried it to Ford...BOTH cats are bad.... warranty will cover... 4127 miles....?????

 

AHHH, I dont think so Tim. That does not sound right.

 

Must be referring to the cats inside the dash, chewin' on all the wires...must've forgotten to feed 'em.
