Dyno Numbers

I thought it would be nice if we could start a thread for dyno numbers and the mods used to achieve them.
This way we will see what works and what does not. List the brand also, not just cai or long tubes Please...............

Lund Cammed tune, JLT Cold air, Magnaflow o/r x, Borla S types 400 RWHP
Kenne Bell 2.8 LC with 18. psi and Evo 75 lb injectors, Lund Tune, c16, 783RWHP!!

Too hot out here to consider spending money on a baseline pull, will post numbers in the fall/winter.

The owner of a local shop (Gear Heads Performance) offered to dyno mine for free back in June shortly after I got it because they hadn't had any Bosses in the shop yet (thanks, Travis!).
Ambient temp was high -- 97 deg -- so the numbers weren't what he expected.

Stock 2012 Boss on Dynojet: 370.83 RWHP, 337.84 torque

You are about to see higher......

Keep in mind dyno numbers are going to be different on different dyno's, different cars, different days.... so dont read too much into our numbers being higher, which is actually surprising to me being in South Florida our numbers are usually lower....

Anyways, these numbers are on a Dynojet, Bone stock but with 93 octane fuel, not 87 octane fuel like it leaves the dealer with. Only 30 miles on this car.

First run was bone stock.... with the 93 octane fuel.

Second run is with 93 octane fuel, our Steeda cold air, and a custom tune.

Nice. Did you run it with a 91 tune as well? I'd be curious to see that. 93 can be hard to come by around here so would be more interested in the 91 tune results.

I'll have to look, these are in another building and I have to go to a 3rd building just to get them scanned. Not easy when I'm also supposed to be at my desk working. LOL

I believe it only made between 2 and 4 horsepower less as a 91 octane tune. Was REAL close. Might have been even less than that.

The thing with these cars is they have really strong ignition timing from the factory. Ford, who's factory calibrations are great seems to have gone even further with this car and made it outstanding. Ignition timing changes are barely worth anything on these cars.

90% of the gains on this dyno sheet are from better airflow (cold air) and extensive work on the camshaft timing.

I really want to get another Boss 302 in here to do cold air, long tubes, and further cam timing work. I think there is even more potential there.

That chart shows some nice gains between 4,500 and 7,000 rpm, probably where you'll spend most of your time on a track.

Wow! I think you may have sold me on your CAI, my 05 Vette put down 436RWHP with Kooks Long Tubes and X pipe, Vera ram CAI, Cam and Tune. You just put down almost the same #s with CAI and a Tune! I love this car and have not even drove it yet!

Nice work on that tune, Gus. Might look into that after the warranty expires. TracKey until then. Keep up your development work so your tune is A++++ when I'm ready to buy it
