Drag tire suggestions

Does anyone have any idea what is the smallest wheel diameter wheel/tire combo we can use for the rear wheels for the BOSS? I want the most amount of tire so I can maximize launch rpm without jolting my driveline so much. I am hoping we can use a 16 inch setup. Any guesses or better yet experienced answers

Am I correct to assume that the Boss has the same brake size as his Brembo equipped 5.0?

I used SN95 Ponies (16") on mine to make a few baseline passes, worked just fine.

Not sure on what size wheels would fit. But the old M/T Indy profiles may be something to look into. They will spin a round or two before completely hooking. I haven't seen anyone use them in a while but they are pretty gentle on axles. They are made to give just enough but not burn down in smoke. Just a thought.

Don't know if the rears would clear,15x8 Summit type Pro Stars,5.5 BS with 275x50x15 M/T drag radials.... Too bad you are way down in Texas.
$750 for the whole package. Fronts are the 17x4 Race Stars.
