Is this the Dora? my salesman says it is, but i thought this was the order confirmation for me to agree he car is what i want and ford would then send something back to the dealer saying it was accepted. the salesman says after this thing there is nothing else until my VIN is issued in sep-oct.

I would scan mine and post it, but the printer they used to print it out on sucks so it is barely readable.
Anyways, you are seeing the VOC, which is just the dealer's side of the ordering process. The DORA is Ford acknowledging that they received the order. The DORA states on the top of mine "2012 Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement" and then basically goes through and states what was ordered by the dealer.

IMO the DORA is not a big deal. It confirms what's on the VOC and shows that Ford has received the order. Most dealers know what they are doing and if they say it's been received I'd move on. Save that extra call bugging the dealer until after you have your VIN.

Interesting ManOwar. The DORA which you posted conviently cuts off the dealer pricing and other information. My dealer gave me the whole DORA. Perhaps it depends on your relationship with the dealer.
And when I grew up in Jacksonville it was Lynch Davidson Ford. Guess your ordering dealership is still owned by the same family!
Thanks for the DORA posting for others.

its not that the dora is a big deal, but it would be really cool 20 years form now to have every piece of paperwork that went along with special ordering this car.
The last car show i was at this old dude had a 1960 Plymouth belvedere sonoramic commando and he had all the original paper work, window sticker and time slips where he raced it the same day he bought it at the local strip in 1960. it was really cool to see all the information with a car that he had owned since new.
not that i will have my boss that long lol...
Thanks ManOWar!

Let me know if you get your DORA from the dealer. I ordered at about the same time you did & have been wondering how long I should wait before ensuring that they got my order confirmation. Even though I don't have a space for the car in my garage yet, I'm still chomping at the bit for more information on my order - mostly from reading people's experiences here - it's getting me excited about getting mine
