Nobody was dealing on them and I don't have the time to fly to get a car.

The cheap decals go back to the 69-70. But it would be cool if someone got the stripes painted on, possibly chrome or some other exotic color from a company like ALSA Corp.

I think it is funny how this thread got resurrected from April but I am glad. lol
I've actually been considering removing the C-Stripes from mine. I love the look of them, but I don't want the paint to fade around them leaving a permanent C-Stripe outline there. Also, I feel it would look pretty awesome with this on the side instead.

...since it literately is the High Performance variant of the 302

Then having the calipers painted Silver gloss with "brembo" in red.

I think it'd look classy, yet classic and still modern.

Better yet! If instead of "High Performance", it said "BOSS"!

I actually really like that Idea. Btw- I hate the "C" stripe- I have no reason, I just like the '70 hockey stick better.
It would be cool to incorporate different stickers off the original 69-70 Boss and put it on a new one. For instance, the green(or yellow?) 302-4v sticker that was on the breather lid.

Exactly! There are just so many ideas and options out there that can look really, really good. I wish people had the freedom to do what they want with their car and not be complete cast out.
I understand the loyalists. But I do think people can make a Boss look awesome... another way.

I'd like to do what someone suggested in another thread and put a small neon yellow pinstripe around the white hood bulge, on the ^^ above shown 302 logo and maybe in a small spot somewhere else. Small subtle, but different.

Something I wish they made was a brake pedal cover like my '70 has.

I'd have been cool with that. I wouldn't have understood it and would have had to look it up... but that's what makes this so much fun to own a Boss. So much thought went into it!

It is a disease... we can`t help it... and worst of all there is no cure. And if you think you don`t have it... give it time... if you own a Mustang you will catch it.. Go to a couple shows sign up for a magazines or two.. hang out on this form and soon you will have it. It called YCLSA.. (you can`t leave s**t alone) The herd I could not leave stock.

So personalize it and make it your own.. Love to see what other folks like..

I saw a new Laguna Seca, SBY, on the freeway a few days ago. It had a hood stripe, but no Boss logo or stripe on the sides, where the Boss logo should be. This is not stock right?

Yeah, I saw the Boss from the back and noticed the color right away, and then the oversized exhaust pipes. Then I saw the faux gas cap, and from a distance, it looked like an elephant logo...I was like, what? Then I got closer and saw it was the Laguna Seca logo, and obviously a Boss, but the stripes did not look right...nice color, but not a fan of de striping a Boss.

I'm proud of my dad... I'm proud of my brother...
But I don't wear a pin stating that.

People don't, necessarily, take off the stripes because they look bad but because they think something else looks better.

I may keep mine, I may not. Either way, I won't hate on anyone else who does different.

That'd be like saying...

How dare you put Drag Radials on a Boss 302!? It's not made for the drag strip! It's a road course track car!

or

How dare you put Drag Radials on a Boss 302!? It came from the factory the way Ford wanted it!

Let people do what they want.
That being said, please no one deface the Boss 302 by putting GT or Cobra or V6 emblems on it.
