Not for me. If you can't carry off the Boss swagger just buy a GT and add Ford Racing parts.

I posted the picture and don't mind the comments - just wanted to show people what's possible. And the de-striped look might look better on some colors than others. The stripes are easily replaced, anyway. BTW, they are very flimsy mylar type plastic so take care.

As far as street recognition, it's hard to miss the Boss logo stitched into the Recaro's. The wheels are different too, and I can see people trying to figure out the car.

I had a 2006 GT that I started to mod, and it would be a real hassle to bring a GT up to Boss standards, if it's even possible. Regardless of stripes, the Boss is a great car, and I've always preferred the stealth look on a street car.

I love the mechanical upgrades of the Boss, but the graphics are just way too loud for me. I wish they had toned them down some, so I can appreciate what the OP did.

Wait for the rumoured Boss 351. Imagine a discrete outlined logo on the Fenders and nothing more to identify the car. Boss 302's are meant to be bold and shout-y.

Your car, do with it what you want.
You could go as far as to have the front spoiler and rear valance and spoiler painted gloss white too.

It looks fine to me. What makes the car a Boss is whats under the hood not some cheap vinyl graphics. Ive thought of removing the hood stripes on my 2013 Boss because I know in a few years there going to look like crap and are going to have to come off anyway.

This. Although i will say the vinyls added to the look of the car. They took people back in time with its retro roots and less than traditional placement. The vinyls/graphics are the face of the Boss, while the motor is the heart of this American Legend

I beg to differ on the cheap vinyl comment! A whole replacement stripe kit cost $1500?!?

That's why I have decided de-badged and purple is the way to go.

Your right the graphics arent cheap especially if you get them from Ford. I do like the looks of the Boss better with the stripes. I guess what I should have said in my previous post is that removing the stripes does not make the car any less of a Boss it just makes it look less like a Boss.

Its funny how many people think the boss is just a graphics option. Its not a crime to be ignorant.
