Our front and rear Boss 302 Tow Hook Kits will be available for purchase next week. I’ve enclosed several pics of the prototypes. Production units will differ only in that they will be powdercoated a lightly textured black. We wanted to do a design that is as close to what we thought the factory would do. We examined several European cars to see what they had done. In all cases, we found that the mounts were consistently to one side of center and almost always aligned with a frame member for maximum linear strength. We also considered multiple different thread pitches and sizes – ultimately choosing to use the same thread type and size as used by BMW. The kit will include a flush-mounted plastic plug to cover the access hole – again, much like the OEMS do it today. The plug may be painted at the owner’s discretion.

We will offer the tow eye mounting kit for both the front and rear of the Boss. Both kits may be purchased with an optional screw-in tow ring. (Pics are shown with a popular tow ring utilized by BMW owners.)
We will have an early-bird-special, all-in-one kit which will include front and rear kits and two of the pictured thread-in tow rings for a package price of $299. Tow rings will be available in black, red, or blue.

The normal price for the individual front and rear kits will be $159 each, or $179 with the pictured tow ring.

A front license plate mount option will also be available shortly.

Hey Kendall, I might just go this route. How hard is the install? I would assume both front and rear fascia's will have to come off. How do I get the earlybird special?

finally, a solution that incorporates some sort of plug for removal!

can you test fitment on 2013 bumpers? i have a gt500 bumper awaiting install and would like to have this incorporated.

Our tow hook kits - both front and rear are completely bolt-in. NO welding is required. I'd estimate about an hour install time for each end of the car. The SBY is our Cool Tech car as well (2013) and as soon as we have the production kits we will install, verify and post pics.

I saw the Cooltech LS with front and rear tow hooks installed at Willow Springs last weekend... looks awesome....fortunately they weren't tested as the Cooltech driver kept the car on the track
