Quick question - I'd been under the impression by what I saw in the FRPP catalog that the diff cover we were getting had drain and fill plugs, yet your pics don't seem to show that. Is that some trick of the light, or are those completely untapped drain/fill hole "placeholders" I see there? Looks like getting the diff cover off would be a ***** with that panhard bar there.

No drain plug!!! I said a few choice words when I saw that!! I really couldn't believe it when I saw it WTF???
I gues i will pull the cover and see if I can drill and tap it for a drain plug...anyone have any idea if a "kit" is made to do this??
Gah...
Well, on the plus side, there's plenty of aftermarket diff covers for the 8.8 that have drain plugs. Guess if I'm going to to do the nasty here, better put the right diff cover on while I am at it. I'm all for a yearly "deep cleaning" of the diff on my track cars, but I like to change out that fluid after every track weekend.
Jeez Ford, WTF...
