"To be fair, my enjoyment of this gasoline-powered audio system probably contributed greatly to our low observed fuel economy, but anyone who's interested in being the guy in the Boss would likely drive in a similar manner."
That was a good line.

i know exactly where he went wrong with the fuel economy. He went on the hoon at some point early on, killed the fuel economy and then forgot to reset the fuel computer and failed to realize that it was an AVERAGE. As in if you get 6mpg on the hoon, then average 21mpg driving around town the gauge won't show that much. And this from a tech guy that should know better. I averaged 12 mpg during a 20 min track hoonathon.
As for them reviewing that stuff, i get that. i write about tech for a living, tech and cars cross over a lot so covering cars makes sense. I actually cover both a couple places. You just have to be sure the person covering the car actually knows something about cars.

Fairly accurate for an average buyer/owner. The observations are reasonable.
The seats are not the most comfortable nor containing.
Do you know whether there are torrington bearings or regular bearings on the parts in the rear end? It does not make a great difference if he thinks that it has Brembo on all 4's. He saw the Brembo's and thought that it would be on all 4's as most would think.
Not everyone buying a Boss is Parnelli Jones.

I was disappointed that the Boss 302 wasn't more like the original that borrowed much interior from the Mach 1. I expected something more like a GT premium inside until the details rolled out. But that doesn't change what Ford was intending and to slam a car for being what the manufacturer intended it to be like is kinda well... silly.
Slam a car for falling short of what was intended rather than not being what the reviewer personally prefers.
I still wished they had stayed closer to the relative appointments of the original '69 Boss to Mach 1 though. Would have gone a long way to getting me to part with the extra cash.

These are the same type of tools who rave about a Corolla, when in reality it is simply an appliance on wheels. If that's what you want, great, but don't call it what is isn't.

I think they do a ok job at reviewing cars, well normal cars. They said they same about the gt500, kinda. I don't think a high performance car is really for them.

Yes and some owners have commented on the lack of satellite radio, SYNC and even the location of the cupholders.
It is each owners or drivers opinion. You do not have to own one to have an option. As they say opinions are like a**holes, everyone has one.
Enjoy the car.

^^^ This ^^^, would I have liked the Sync and HIDs..yup, but someone else's opinion of the car in a review means nothing to me and doesn't sway me one way or another

Cnet should RAM that guy into a HARD DRIVE and then FORMAT him.
What a completely worthless review of an outstanding vehicle. I guess all of those real automotive magazines just don't know what they're talking about.

No, I was checking out Vicky's exaggerated facial expressions while speaking. I find it rather disconcerting that I'm staring at her mouth wondering what shape it will twist into next instead of what is coming out of it.
