Angry CNET gives 2012 Boss 302 2.5/5 star rating

Please guys, stick to reviewing smart phones, laptops, and other consumer electronics. To slam the Boss for lack of tech, and 'abysmal' gas mileage, and poor performing brembo brakes on your no doubt thrashed press car seems like the definition of weak sauce.

http://reviews.cnet.com/coupe-hatchb...-35041993.html

Need someone to create one of those poster pix of someone driving a Boss hard around a track with a caption along the lines of 'No Sync or Nav or Leather Why?' BECAUSE RACE CAR

Wow talk about someone completely missing the point

They should go back to reviewing smart phones and stuff. They're out of their league reviewing cars

eh they basically admit their scores are based on in car tech and this car really didnt have a chance. They really just shouldn't have reviewed it (except im sure their car guys were dying to get their hands on one)

After reading the review, it's nothing more than a page long contradiction. He likes the car for certain things, doesn't really use the tech, then slams it for not having it. Like Jason said, he misses the point entirely, and in turn shouldn't have reviewed a car like this. Someone get him a 2012 with the Elec. Pkg. and all the bells & whistles and see what he thinks instead.

Yah no real surpise, they have a lot of great things to say about the car, but they are locked into their review metric which places equal weight to design, performance, and features.

No surprise here that the folks at CNET don't get it. I doubt anyone in the market for a Boss 302 gives a rat's ... what the folks at CNET think. I know I don't.

This would make about as much sense as Car & Driver reviewing the San Diego Zoo.

What the hell is a CNet. Are they even relevant anymore?

Besides 3rd party consumer reviews aren't worth the bandwidth they occupy in cyberspace.

Those CNET chumps probably would have rated the V6 premium more favorably. They don't "get it".

All of the reasons they dislike the Boss are all the reasons I like it.

I thought the review was one of the best I've see in video form, quite thorough. The final score is for the tech in the car, not the total car itself. Nothing to be upset about here...

Nothing to be upset about..?

The review guy doesn't have a clue... A superchaged GT500 is a "peaky" (as in power) engine relative to the NA 5.0. What an idiot. He obviously does not know what he is taling about in this department.

And since when are 20" wheels available on the Boss? My 2012 order guide says nothing about this option. Is he looking at a MY 2013? Aftermarket?
No credibility.

He's using the word "peaky" to describe the less linear response, which the GT500 has due to the supercharger. You may not like the language, but its more than adequate for the audience this video is for.

You can get 20" wheels optionally as an accessory. Its right on Ford's site. 2012 MY.

He's referring to these methinks. Sad but true as Metallica would sing...

That review is so full of fail I sent him an email. Saying the car has Brembos all the way around and it doesn't makes me wonder how much time he spent with the car.
