I guess I'm slipping into posting as the car itself. I guess that's not as bad and dicussing myself in the third person, right?

I've got the rail number from FCS and called Canadian (?!) Rail today, and got information on when the car was moving, etc.

Looking at late next week for arrival.

Car is AWESOME. Sounds absolutely fantastic with the Rousch Stage 3 mufflers and the plates out of the side exhausts. Definitely loud. WOT is a trip! I gotta say, it was worth the wait.

Finally! The stress level drops a bunch when you get the railcar number only to skyrocket again once your car gets to the final destination and sits for hours or days to get delivered to your dealer.

Some of you may recall that in my case the orders from my dealer were built in the wrong order. Fortunately part of the cause for confusion was the two orders were otherwise identical, which allowed my salesman to give me the 'later' ordered car.

Good thing too, because my order is getting built next Thursday, 9 weeks after 'my' car. A big thanks to Paul at Van Bortel for being both heads up and a stand up guy.

Kona cars are still being made next week. Couldn't have known that last May though.

My rig is on a train somewhere, and the first number that I called on Tuesday, I talked to a helpful guy who told me where the car was and where it is "supposed" to be in the next week. I didn't write down the number that I had called, and haven't had any luck finding out any information since then since everyone else just says "call Ford."

I should probably quit worrying about it and figure that it will show when it shows.

Get the railcar number. Your dealer should have it.

Do you know how to track Canadian National railcars? (Not CSX)

I looked on their website but it requires a customer login.

I had the original rail car number. The shipper changed from Canadian National to Norfork Southern sometime this week. Southern has an automated line that I got from the website that you can use to track a car which I found on the BMO forums. Canadian doesn't have that type of thing, you have to register (which I am not going to do) or just keep calling until you get someone who is willing to help you.

The rail number didn't change between CN and NSR.

My guess--I think that's because they track the container and not the train itself.

The railcar number stays the same until it's delivered. At least it did on mine.
