Then when my car was off the radar for 5 days while I was waiting for a truck to get it from the rail yard to the dealer. Hopefully that doesn't happen to you!

 

My dealer requested expedited deliver once the train hit town.

 

Buddy of mine on another forum said something like "Oh, they probably just dropped a screw into the intake. So they have to order and replace the screw. But that's all"

 

5 DOT 0, this is the former Boss Lady. I've hung around here after giving up on my Boss just to see you take delivery of yours. I wanted to see the pics of the car with the wheels you bought. Instead, I see you're in the same predicament I ended up in, they've sent your car back to the plant. The one I gave up on did finally make it to the dealer, 9-1/2 weeks after it rolled off the assembly line.

Did you ever find out why it was delayed? There's another member here that also has a stop ship on his car. The hard part is not receiving any explanation of why there is a delay. Enjoy your GT500.

 

I ordered my '06 GT and it hadn't arrived in 12 weeks of my order so I found another which was similarly equipped and got it. But this is a little different.

 

Yeah I know, it's the not knowing during the wait after the car is already built that is the killer. They never got any info as to why the car was so delayed in shipping. When it arrived it was really dirty and had some gooey stuff on it in several places that they told me looked like tree sap. They were going to get the car detailed and felt it would come clean because none was on the vinyl.

I'm just telling you this, so if it comes in late in the afternoon you might want to postpone until you have really good light to pick up the car where you can check it close.

Thanks for the comment on the GT500. It will never be a Boss, but I'm enjoying the heck out of it everytime I turn the key. SS brake lines and Motul 600 is already here, just waiting on track wheels to arrive and then we'll be busy in the garage.
