boss x brace

I was thinking of putting the x brace in my 13 shelby. Can anyone with a LS confirm is it louder inside than a regular mustang? I don't know how good the rear seats are at sound dampening compared with the cover for the LS x brace. I do have an LS at my dealership but I haven't had time to go up there to drive it to see for myself.

I can't give you Db readings, but I had an '07 GT500 with an aftermarket RSD kit in it that I sold to get this Boss LS. And my perception is that the LS is significantly quieter than the GT500 was in respect to the RSD. Some of that may be the rear wheel well liners that were not on the '07s. But I think the infill panels are just better than the other kit that I had in the GT500. When the rear seats were in the Shelby, though, there was still significant tire pick-up and road noise in the back of the cabin. The LS still seams quieter to me.

With all of that said, the exhaust note coming from just under the door panels might be masking a "wee bit o noise"

Wait a minute...when did you dump your Griggs'd pig for an LS? Business picked up?

interior noise level

I just did this last week with my 12 Boss.No doubt it is louder inside, but not a crazy amount. It is not a problem and I like the look.It will take you several hours to do.The rear upper trim panels must be removed to take out the shoulder harness bolts.Other than that it's a pretty easy install.I also changed the rear speakers while I had it all apart.

Guy - did you piece together a LS 'X' brace kit from dealer parts or were you somehow able to get an FRPP kit before everyone else?

Or are you referring to a generic rear seat delete kit?

I was able to get a kit 6 weeks ago,but I paid way more than I could get one for now.
