Going back for a moment to the elusive white car that no one has seen yet, white with black boss was my first choice, but it came down to do I want a 1 of 3500 (assumed production) car or 1 of 500 car with the Laguna Seca ?

The more I thought about it, my 93 cobra is one of 802 Teal with gray leather, the R is one of 300, and the Marauder is one of approx 11,000, which in a way is rare.

To me the $5000 price difference for the LS is well worth it. But I do wish it was in white instead of silver.

I have seen it on job2 Mustangs. I would prefer the 70 Bright Yellow, that is for sure but had to get another yellow Boss even if it is not the same shade. The CO is also nice and a color only for the Boss makes it desirable but I am happy with the NQ. Nice pic BTW I have only seen 3 pics of the pace car.

Have you seen these? They can be found here. The guy that took them is a member here.

Where did your photos come from?

Purr-fect

The Maroon 69 in the pic had a 70 351C and a late model 5 speed, that was faster ... but only on a straight-a-way.

I am not sure what it was called but looked like a promo for the speed channel special. I just took a few screen shots from that.

The lighting on the car does not do it justice, it really has to be seen outside, like last summer at the Woodward Dream Cruise.
I just got back from spending all day at the Detroit show. My head is spinning at the moment because of the CO Boss on the dyno. If I were to describe the color it would be dull, cloudy, a light orange almost peach color. It reminds me of tomato soup with milk. I tried to convince myself that it was the lighting or that this is a pre-production sprayed color. My phone even took a darker picture than what is seen in person. I hope davesvt2000 is right, that it needs to be seen outside. The Kona Blue and Yellow Blaze display colors were as expected, HOT! Before you criticize, my 1Q build order is CO. Disappointed and considering changing to Kona Blue, if still possible. Help

Also, does everyone realize that the blacked out rear panel between the brake lights is vinyl? It was peeling on the upper edges on all 3 displays. Another detail, the Kona Blue Boss had the 285 tires/wheels on the front and the 255's on the rear, oops.....

The BMW 1M and Focus ST were very nice too.

Ford is good with photoshop

I'm assuming it is the same as '04 and if so it will be a great color.

I based my order choice on the Ford website pics which clearly, in my eyes, shows a deeper darker orange. I've owned 2 different orange Ford models and neither look as soft and light as the CO. Even from a far distance (other side of COBO Hall), the CO color looked the same. There were a few other orange cars at the event that were stunning compared to CO, especially the new Camaro on display. It had a sparkle similar to the Yellow Blaze, but orange.

Oh, I recall someone asked whether or not the Recaro seats had air bags, answer= yes.

I sincerely hope your right. While I was there, I noticed that the color on the CO Boss poster left of the display did not match the CO Boss on the dyno. The poster color is reflective of Ford's website.

I personally don't think I could feel comfortable enough to leave it at that. I was at the show for 6+ hours, half between the 3 color displays. I'm leaning to try and change to Kona Blue. I'll look at all the CO Boss video and pics on the forum tonight and sleep on it.

I don't mean to burst anyone's bubble, just looking for opinion.

Thanks,

Dave
